Keira Bowden: A Champion on the Rise

On the 12th of February, Keira Bowden became the national amateur champion for the third time. This is a remarkable achievement, especially considering the challenges she faced along the way, such as a difficult training camp recovering from a broken thumb and the added pressure of boxing three 3-minute rounds for the first time. Nevertheless, Keira persevered and proved that she is a true champion.

Keira's journey to the championship title was made even more impressive by the fact that she boxed twice in two days. This demonstrated her resilience, endurance, and competitiveness, and showcased her skills as a boxer.

Keira has been on a roll in the amateur boxing circuit, with a string of impressive victories under her belt. Before this latest win, Keira had already won the national title twice and had also claimed a tri-nations gold medal and a European Bronze medal. These accomplishments are a testament to Keira's skill, determination, and hard work in the sport she loves.

Keira boxes for the Redcar amateur boxing club and is sponsored by East Pastures Boarding Kennels. She is grateful for the support she has received from her sponsors and coaches, and takes pride in representing her club and community. Keira also attributes her success to her gym mates, who have helped her get to where she is today through their support and challenging sparring sessions.

In addition to her club and sponsors, Keira would like to extend her gratitude to the local community, especially the residents of her hometown of Carlin How. The support and encouragement from her friends, family, and community have played a significant role in her success, and she is proud to represent them on a national level.

In conclusion, Keira Bowden is a rising star in the world of amateur boxing. With her third national championship win, she has established herself as one of the top competitors in the sport. We can expect to see more great things from Keira in the future, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
